Global Sourcing Q&A

Q: I currently sell a product but want to find a lower cost version. Can you help?

A: Absolutely! We can identify equivalent options at a lower cost.

Q: What if I currently sell a product but want to make product improvements?

A: Once we discuss the product specifications to understand your needs, we can present options for redesigning and improving your product.

Q: Is private labeling an option?

A: Yes, your company name or brand can be included on the product and packaging.

Q: What industries do you serve?

A: A unique aspect about our company is our ability to source any product. Our clients come from industries that range from aviation and farming to medical supplies, kitchen and bath and publishing.

Q: Can you provide alternative sourcing solutions to China?

A: Yes, our team will discuss your sourcing needs to understand your goals. We can provide available options that include China as well as other countries.

Q: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

A: The minimum order quantity will vary by product. It’s also possible that if ordering multiple sizes of a single product, the sizes can be combined to achieve the MOQ.

Q: What container sizes are required?

A: It depends on the product and the quantity ordered. The goal is to fill a 20 foot or 40 foot container.

Q: Is it possible to meet the minimum order quantity but not fill a container?

A: Yes, for example, a manufacturer sets the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for a box of Christmas lights to 100 individual units. These 100 individual units will not fill a 20 foot or 40 foot container.

Q: Expanding on the previous question, if I have the minimum order quantity how can I determine how many units I need to order to fill a container?

A: Our team will calculate the number of units that will fill a container. Factors that are considered include customer’s requirements for outer carton sizes.

Q: What if I cannot fill a container?

A: Depending on the item and quantity needed, we can discuss other options.

Q: Do the products include certifications?

A: Every product is different and may include its own certification requirements. For example, plumbing products may require cUPC or UPC certification depending on the country the product is being sold. Our team will make sure your product has the appropriate certifications.

Q: What is the lead time?

A: When we begin a project with our clients we discuss their target date and work with them to meet this date.

Lead time will vary with the product, quantity and shipping methods. For example, if the product is a redesign, new tooling will be required and prototypes will need to be made and approved. New product certifications can also add to the lead time. For products that do not have special requirements or updates, the process can be quicker.

Q: I will need a sample before I can place an order. Is this possible?

A: We want our clients to have confidence when placing their order. We do provide samples for approval on orders.
